Jambo Superfoods Affiliate, Bryan Otte @otteoutdoors, created this CBD Apricot BBQ Ribs recipe with Jambo Butter Oil. We’re talking, pull off the bone, melt in your mouth, lick off your finger, good ribs! Awesome job with this smoke Bryan!
First I like to square up the ribs cutting the top meat off making a straight line any sharp knife will work next I cut the first two ribs from each side of the rack mKing. Perfect rectangle. Next you want to tear off the silver skin on the underside of the ribs a butter knife and paper towel to grip is perfect.
Start preheating smoker to 225 I use a Traeger Pro 575.
Season the rack:
After you have chosen the perfect seasoning (I use spiceology) you want to put down a base layer to let the rub bind to the meat that’s where Jambo CBD butter comes in. Put a light coat of CBD butter on the ribs followed by your rub. Let rest for about 10-15 mins to let the rub sweat into the meat and absorb repeat on the other side.
Step 1. Place ribs directly on grill and smoke lid closed for 3 hours.
Step 2. Wrap ribs in peach butcher paper or aluminum foil with 3 tablespoons of butter and dark brown sugar drizzling with honey. Put wrapped ribs back on the grill for 2 hours
Step 3. Remove ribs from smoker and gently unwrap and place ribs back on smoker.
Using a saucepan gently heat up bbq sauce and 1/8th cup of CBD butter. Drizzle warmed buttery bbq sauce on ribs every 15 minutes for 1 hour.
The total process is just under 6 hours.
After done cooking let ribs rest for about 15 minutes before slicing rack.
Pro tip: Turn ribs over to cut (you can see the bones).
Use any leftover sauce to drizzle over ribs before serving.
